Watching more TV
So, I was watching reruns of three of my favorite shows (Wrecks to Riches, Overhaulin, and Miami Ink) on TLC last night and I came away with three things...
1.) I don't understand how a wannabe hot rod builder can screw up an internship with a big time builder like Barry White, but two wannabes in school at UTI did. Kids these days...
2.) Chip Foose has to be the best car designer/builder out there today, with the possible exception of Troy Trepanier, of Rad Rides. Plus, I love the show's ongoing plot of messing with the car's owner and secretly tricking out their car. If anyone ever wants to do this to me, please feel free!
3.) Not only is she fucking hot, but Kat Von D is an awesome artist. I wish I had the money to get a portait tattoo done by her.

I would have to agree with you on all of this. Every episode of Overhaulin amazes me about the ideas that go through Foose's mind and his ability to make those ideas a reality. The first time I watched Wrecks To Riches, I thought, WTF, mainly because he was building cars out of their cheaper versions and selling them at auction for lots of $$. When I got to thinking about it though, I have always said I want to find a 60's Mustang fast back car and make a GT500 clone. I wouldn't want a real one because value wise it doesn't make since to drive it, and I am all about driving what I have. This is what Barry offers with his SMC's, cars that have the old style mixed with modern technology, the best of both worlds. I would hate to know I had the opportunity to work for such a place and screwed it up, mostly because of being too lazy to do what I am asked to do. I have gotten into Wrecks To Riches more and more and like I have said somewhere before, I like the shows that complete the project by the end of the show instead of the ones that you have to watch every week just to keep up with. I don't even know if American Hotrod is still on the air or not, because it is pretty much impossible for me to follow their projects. And I can't figure out why, because I don't have nor do I desire to have a tatt, but I always find myself watching Miami Ink. I don't know why, I just can't ever seem to change the channel once it comes on. It might just be my sheer appreciation for all types of art like this.
Enough rambling for today. And for those that read this useless dribble, just remember that is a few minutes of your life that you can't ever get back.
Wow, dude. You wrote more on this than I did!
Maybe you should start a blog too
"Wow, dude. You wrote more on this than I did!"
Pretty slow here today. I tend to ramble on about a subject when I am bored.
